Alison Wells is a Trinidadian artist whose paintings have been exhibited in solo and group exhibitions in galleries and museums throughout the United States, the Caribbean and Europe. Some of these include D’art Contemporaine in Pont Aven, France, the National Museum of Trinidad and Tobago in Port of Spain, Trinidad; The New Bedford Art Museum in New Bedford, Massachusetts and the Mutual Life Gallery in Kingston, Jamaica.

Wells was chosen to exhibit her work at the “Fifth Summit of the Americas” held in Trinidad and Tobago in April, 2009 and a year later she was one of five Trinidadian artists selected to exhibit their work at the 2010 World Exposition in Shanghai, China. In May 2011, Alison was one of the recipients for the Brookline Commission for the Arts, 2011 Massachusetts Cultural Council grants.

Wells received a MFA from the University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth, in Dartmouth, Massachusetts and a BFA from the Edna Manley College of the Visual and Performing Arts in Kingston, Jamaica. Her paintings are part of private, public and corporate collections.

Wells is also an art educator at the College level and she teaches teenagers and kids in after school programs as well as gives private lessons at her studio. Her paintings can be viewed at her studio, located in the Cummings Building, 96 William St., Studio #1, New Bedford MA 02740
