Alison Wells Fine Art Studio & Gallery, 106 William St. is conveniently located on the cobblestone streets of historic William St. in New Bedford MA. The gallery showcases the paintings of Contemporary Fine Arts Painter & Mixed Media Artist Alison Wells; offering Original Artwork, Giclee Prints and Note cards. We also exhibit Guest Artists periodically during the year.
Wells is a Trinidadian artist whose paintings have been exhibited in solo and group exhibitions in galleries and museums in the United States, the Caribbean and Europe.
Wells was selected to exhibit her Urban Organic series at the 2010 World Exposition in Shanghai, China. In May 2011, Alison was one of the recipients for the Brookline Commission for the Arts and also received an 'Assets for Artists' grant from MassMoca in 2014.
Wells received a MFA from the University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth, in Dartmouth, Massachusetts and a BFA from the Edna Manley College of the Visual and Performing Arts in Kingston, Jamaica. Her paintings are part of private, public and corporate collections.
