The Art of Collecting is a fascinating and enchanting journey. As an Artist I love the concept of collecting which is why I love going to museums to see their eclectic collections of every imaginable kind from far and wide.
Collections offer viewers an opportunity inside amazing art worlds and a glimpse, not only into the collector's private world, but into the thinking and passion behind the work they choose. This is a topic I would love to expand on more but considering it's the Holidays, lets take a brief look into Christmas and Holiday Collections.
I didn't realize this was a big deal for many until I found a box of Santa Clause ornaments my Hubby has from his childhood. It was a collection that came about when his mom gave him and his sister a different Santa Clause ornament every year...and he kept every single one. It made me happy and sentimental and now I am very curious to all of the different Christmas/Holiday collections that families have been collecting through the years and have past down through generations.
